India is an ancient society whose culture has been largely apolitical,
people have been mostly agnostic to the political developments which
were felt to be the dominion of the rulers and a few elite 'chosen' ones,
we were happy to be at the receiving end of politics and sadly we continue
to be.
The movement started by Annaji has kindled a spark in the minds of today’s
young people, there is again a budding urge to understand the working
of politics in this nation and how we can participate in it, this blog is
an attempt to address this growing need.
This blog does not aim to be technically accurate, rather it tries to give a
quick introduction to the basics of Indian Politics without covering the corner
cases; which anyway are dealt with in great depth in existing books.
